DOWN TO THE WIRE

I don't want to give away too much of the design for my frog just yet, but check this out. As you can see from the pattern on my garage floor, the design has something to do with circles. And speaking of circles, my head is spinning right now. The frog will be unveiled on Sunday at the zoo, and I still have a long, long way to go. It'll get it done, but I'm afraid that I'm pretty much done sleeping for the rest of the week. Wish me luck.

FROG TIED

The other day I got a call with an offer of sponsorship to decorate a frog. I was thrilled, but the only catch is that the frog has to be unveiled at the zoo on Sunday, May 30. That means counting today, I've got only 11 days to pull this off. That's more than twice as much time as I had to decorate my fish. I love a challenge, and I refuse to miss this deadline, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling the pressure.

I've got a design.
I've got a name.
I've got the materials.
And, I've got a frog.

This isn't going to be easy, but I'll get it done. Stay tuned...

MORE HATCHINGS

The last two weeks have been very busy for me, and the next two are going to be just as bad, if not worse. I've fallen a little bit behind on going out and seeing all the new frogs that are hitting the streets all over Erie for the Leapfrog outdoor art project. Having jumped out of an airplane myself, I really love this skydiving frog.

There are a lot of strong designs out there, with many more on the way. When it's all over, there will be over 100 frogs on the streets.

This is the first sitting frog to go on display. There aren't going to be nearly as many sitting frogs as there will be standing ones, but the hilarious 'no legs' flag flying above clearly shows this frog is proud to be squatting.

FROG FACTORY

This morning my dad and I stopped in at the fiberglass shop to have a look at the first two molded sitting frogs. We were very pleased to see how well they turned out. I really cannot wait to see some of these sitting frogs hit the streets!

With production of both frogs is in full swing, it was great for us to finally see the two frog designs together.

ARMY OF FROGNESS

Back at the fiberglass shop, it will be little while before the sitting frogs start jumping out of the molds, but the standing frogs are about to make their march into town.

Seeing a group of these guys is just stunning. They look like they mean business.
